Ryland Close is a digital abstract artist seeking to explore shared human experience and connectivity through a digital lens. Ryland began creating digital art on Solana in 2021 under the pseudonym, FALLEN. Among other things, he seeks to utilize blockchain technology to create a body of work that can be seen as a work of art it itself when viewed as a whole, by providing an on-chain glimpse into the real-time growth of an artist whose career was born on the Solana blockchain. Ryland's work has been exhibited at Art Basel Miami and resides in the collections of Solana's top art collectors.

"fallen is peaking" is a 22-piece series of abstract glitchscapes, exploring the relationship between human/machine, nature/technology, and order/chaos.
The process represents a dance between human creativity and computerized chaos. Each piece begins with an abstract digital painting created in Procreate. This image is then sent back and forth between Procreate on an ipad and glitch software on an iphone until the desired look is achieved.

Water is used throughout the series to symbolize the process of reflecting on the emotions, moments, and phases of life that define the human experience.
